Scoring Student Test Responses

The Score Student Test Response page appears after you click Score/Re-score on the Assignment Details page. You have the ability to toggle between hiding the test questions or showing the test questions. You may also score student test questions on this page.  

To show or hide test questions:

Click Hide Questions to hide questions.

To score test questions:

Note: The number entered must be a whole number and must not exceed the point value of the question.

Correct Response Column

The following answer information displays in the Correct Response Column:

Multiple Choice, True/False, and Y/N questions - The correct response for each test question displays.

Short answer and Completion questions - The suggested answer for each test question displays.

Essay type questions - A hyperlink to the associated rubric displays.

Student Response Column

The following student answer information displays in the Student Response Column:

Multiple Choice, True/False, Y/N, Short answer, and Completion questions - The student's response to the test question.

Essay type questions - A hyperlink to the student's answer displays.

If a column is blank or a hyperlink does not display, the student either did not answer the test question or the test has not been submitted for scoring. Teachers cannot enter or edit student responses.

Point Value Column

The point value column displays the number of points that can possibly be achieved.

Score Column

The score column displays the score the student achieved on the question. This field can be edited if it has a score.  If the question is a short response or extended response, the field remains blank until you enter a score.

 

When you are finished entering or editing scores, click Save. The test is scored and you are returned to the Assignment Details page where you can select another student.
